We are seeking a Survey Party Chief for the Murfreesboro office. Provide leadership for the field crew, collect field data, and transfer data to the office in a precise and concise manner. Responsibilities include: assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and controlling field operations; reporting to the Project Manager each morning and afternoon for job status and assignments; performing various types of surveys utilizing robotic total stations and GPS methods; ensuring time sheets are filled out daily with correct job number and work details; reporting defective equipment; reporting accidents or damage to the Project Manager and/or Supervisor; getting service orders signed on the day work is performed and turning them in; ensuring necessary field equipment, supplies, and safety equipment are in the truck and operating properly; reporting any problems with crew members; other duties as assigned. Qualifications: minimum 2 years surveying experience as a crew chief; understand mapping concepts; ability to work outdoors; experience with GPS and Survey Pro/Carlson software.
