This position is responsible for campus deliveries, relocation of property, and setup of special events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, and other vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Arrange goods within the warehouse in an orderly manner, optimizing available space and ensuring easy accessibility for retrieval and distribution.
• Set up and arrange event furniture, including tables and chairs
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with various populations, the University community, and the public.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, pallet jack, and forklift.
• Ability to use basic hand tools to assemble/disassemble furniture.
• Ability to read and follow directions from work orders or confirmation of facilities request sheet.
• Ability to write legibly and process work orders.
• Ability to recognize occupational hazards and take appropriate safety precautions.
• Ability to deliver freight and University property to the designated location.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to set up furniture, equipment, etc. for special events.
• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
  

Physical Requirements

• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid forklift permit
