Reporting directly to the Dean of the College of Behavioral & Health Sciences (CoBHS), responsible for leading CoBHS marketing/communication initiatives. This includes serving on the college’s leadership team, constructing the CoBHS communications plan and marketing budget, supporting student recruitment efforts, managing social media accounts, as well as preparing press releases and promotional materials.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop in consultation with the Dean the College communications plan.
  • Monitor and allocate the college annual marketing budget;
  • Develop and manage social media accounts;
  • Prepare promotional materials in support of the college’s advancement, student recruitment, and promotional efforts;
  • Manage public relations efforts;
  • Act as the college liaison to the APSU Office of Public Relations and Marketing;
  • Develop relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external to advance the CoBHS mission and bring attention to the departments and programs within CoBHS.
  • Create and supervise a content team to increase the CoBHS presence in social media;
  • Establish brand “voice” and messaging and ensure consistency across the college.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
