HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing inspections, servicing, and repair to heating, cooling, ventilating and refrigeration equipment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Install, inspect, troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment to include the following: central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, wall heaters, central heating systems, portable heaters, air flow ducting, walk-in coolers, freezers and all hydronic equipment.
-Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, control circuitry and refrigerant circuitry.
-Maintain accurate maintenance records on equipment.
-Perform preventative maintenance on commercial equipment.
-Serve as boiler operator as needed.
-Must wear proper PPE (safety shoes, hearing and eye protection)as required.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.

-Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Ability to successfully complete assignments using appropriate methods, materials, tools and equipment in maintenance work as described above.
-Ability to recognize occupational hazards and take appropriate safety precautions.
-Ability to follow instructions.
-Ability to drive light motor vehicle.
-Ability to maintain accurate records.
-Ability to perform light to heavy manual labor for extended periods of time under some unfavorable climatic conditions.
-Ability to work overtime as required.
-Ability to work in an on-call capacity and inclement weather duties.
Required Minimum Qualifications
-High school diploma
-A minimum of two (2) year of commercial HVAC experience.
-Refrigerant-handling certification.
-Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
-Bending, twisting and lifting weights to 100lbs.
-Heights and working on elevations of 60 feet.
-Work off ladders and lifts.
