Assistant Director, Transfer Enrollment Services

The Assistant Director of Transfer Advantage provides operational leadership for the Transfer Enrollment Services and Advisement Center and supports the implementation of the university’s transfer student success strategy. Reporting to the Executive Director of Transfer Student Services, this position is responsible for managing the daily operations of transfer services, coordinating admissions counseling and advising activities, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient service delivery for prospective and admitted transfer students.
While the Executive Director provides institutional strategy, policy leadership, and external partnership development, the Assistant Director leads operational execution of transfer initiatives and ensures the effective delivery of student-centered services that support enrollment, persistence, and degree completion.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership for Transfer Services
• Manage the daily operations of the Transfer Student Center to ensure effective and student-centered service delivery.
• Supervise Transfer Advantage coordinators, including work assignment, training, and performance management.
• Implement operational procedures and workflows that support transfer admissions counseling, advising coordination, and student support services.
• Monitor service delivery metrics and recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and student experience.
Transfer Admissions Counseling Operations
• Coordinate admissions counseling services for applied and admitted transfer students regarding application completion, transfer credit evaluation, and program requirements.
• Provide direct counseling to transfer students regarding enrollment planning and academic pathways.
• Support communication efforts that guide applied transfer students through the admission and enrollment process.
• Work with Undergraduate Admissions and the Registrar’s Office to ensure accurate and timely transfer credit evaluations and documentation.
Transfer Academic Advising Coordination
Coordinate operational delivery of transfer-focused academic advising services and pre-admission advising initiatives.
Assist students in understanding degree requirements, credit applicability, and academic policies affecting transfer students.
Support collaboration with academic advising units and colleges to ensure consistent advising practices for transfer populations.
Monitor advising service utilization and assist with assessing advising effectiveness and student satisfaction.
Through Governors Orientation (GO), support programming that helps transfer students connect with campus resources, including advising, academic support services, and student organizations.
Transfer Student Transition and Engagement
• Coordinate transfer student transition programs and initiatives that support student engagement, academic success, and persistence.
• Assist in implementing programming designed to support adult learners, military-connected students, and other transfer populations.
• Work collaboratively with campus partners to connect transfer students with institutional resources and services.
Articulation and Transfer Pathway Implementation
• Support the operational management and maintenance of articulation agreements and transfer pathways.
• Maintain documentation and resources that assist students and advisors in understanding transfer credit applicability.
• Assist with the implementation of statewide transfer initiatives and transfer pathway alignment.
Data Collection and Reporting Support
• Assist with the collection and organization of data related to transfer student enrollment, advising engagement, and student success outcomes.
• Provide operational data and reports to support the Executive Director’s strategic planning and institutional reporting responsibilities.
• Contribute to assessment and continuous improvement efforts for transfer services.
Administrative and Operational Support
• Assist with operational planning, scheduling, and resource coordination for Transfer Student Enrollment Service and Advising Center services.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable regulations in all operational processes.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in academic advising, admissions counseling, transfer services, or student success initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs, supervise staff, and manage operational processes
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
