Part-time Instructor (Pool) - MSN Clinical

The Austin Peay State University School of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is seeking qualified part-time Instructors to teach various Master’s level FNP clinical courses. MSN clinical courses are managed via online learning management systems and electronic, web-based clinical software. Each course in the curriculum has been developed and approved by the MSN curriculum committee. Availability of teaching assignments vary based on each semester’s enrollment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- MSN clinical Instructors are required to engage with students and preceptors throughout the semester;
- Supervise the students’ clinical preceptorship experiences to ensure clinical outcomes and competencies are achieved;
- Manage student progress;
- Grade course assignments in timely manner; and
- Actively engage with students online or by other methods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Physical Requirements Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Master in the science of nursing (MSN);
- Licensure as an APRN and RN in Tennessee or compact state;
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANP);
- Current active practice as FNP with 3 years of experience;
- A background search will be required of the successful applicant.
