Responsibilities include:

  • Event Planning & Logistics: Provide hands-on assistance with the coordination, venue booking, and day-of execution for signature programs such as Black History Month, Culture Fest, and Finals Destress Week.

  • Project Tracking: Help track and administer multiple deadlines for campus-wide belonging initiatives and student success services.

  • Administrative Assistance: Support the processing of expenditures and monitor departmental budgets for events in accordance with university policies.

  • Operational Coordination: Assist in the daily activities and programming efforts of the Adult, Nontraditional & Transfer Student Center; the Latino Cultural Center; and the Wilbur N. Daniel African American Cultural Center.

  • Marketing & Engagement: Help promote campus belongingness through advocacy and the delivery of engagement materials for upcoming events.

  • Data & Documentation: Support the collection of data to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure project files are maintained according to FERPA privacy standards.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Communications, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in project coordination, event planning, or task management.

  • Proven ability to coordinate logistics for events and manage multiple project timelines.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Proficiency in basic data analysis or assessment.

  • A student-centered approach with a commitment to fostering a welcoming environment.

To provide immediate project management and event planning assistance to the Office of Community Belonging during the Spring 2025 semester. This role is designed for a professional with strong organizational skills to support the execution of initiatives and provide operational aid to permanent staff during a national search.
