Position Summary Information
Position Summary
The temporary Senior Graduation Analyst reviews applications for graduation and analysis of graduate and undergraduate student degree evaluations and academic records to determine if graduation requirements have been met. Review and process graduation applications, change of major/minor, course substitutions, and waivers. Provide solutions to students and advisors regarding deficiencies for degree requirements. Assist with commencement ceremony and Grad Gala event. Confer degrees and print diplomas. Performs an analysis of undergraduate and graduate student files for graduation requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process graduation applications and code appropriately in BANNER.
  • Analyze undergraduate and graduate students’ academic records for graduation requirements using BANNER degree evaluation software.
  • Manually review and analyze physical files.
  • Send appropriate correspondence to student, department chair and student advisor.
  • Assist supervisor with BANNER testing, building and maintaining degree evaluation program.
  • Process manual change of major/minor/concentration and major/minor course substitutions, review electronic change of major/minor/concentration and major/minor course substitution workflows for accuracy and compliance.
  • Process programs of study for graduate students, including changes to program of study.
  • Act as a liaison between faculty and students to assist with resolving issues with students’ academic records and requirements for graduation. Provide solutions to academic advisor and student regarding degree requirement deficiencies.
  • Process documents in the Perceptive document imaging system. This includes scanning and indexing of paperwork.
  • Assist graduation supervisor with commencement planning, set-up and ceremony.
  • Assist graduation supervisor with Grad Gala planning, set-up and event.
  • Load/print diplomas for conferred degrees.

  • Ability to maintain files accurately, in paper and in software programs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to accurately process records, maintain files, code and input information.
  • - Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and SungardHE Banner.
Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of an Associates Degree.
  • A background check will be required of the successful applicant.
