Position Summary | The Education Abroad Coordinator reports to the Faculty Chair for Study Abroad, Study Away, and International Exchange, within the Office of Study Abroad, Study Away, and International Exchange. The Coordinator serves primarily as a contact person for the Office of Study Abroad, Study Away, and International Exchange and manages the work of this area in alignment institutional goals. The Office of Study Abroad, Study Away, and International Exchange provides support for incoming and outgoing international students as well as exchange and short-term education abroad participants. This department collaborates on services and projects with the Office of International Student Services, Student Account Services, Office of the Registrar, Student Financial Aid, Admissions, College Deans, Department Chairs, Student Affairs, Public Relations, and with faculty coordinators of study abroad, study away, consortium, and exchange programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities | - Recruit and advise potential students for participation in study abroad and study away opportunities
- Promote education abroad and away during campus-wide events, at meetings of student groups and clubs, and in class visits
- Coordinate and oversee budget, travel, and accommodation arrangements for study abroad and study away programs
- Assist with the completion and assessment of student applications through Terra Dotta, Campus Connect or similar software
- Coordinate education abroad and away information sessions, orientation sessions for students and faculty, study abroad fairs, and related events
- Manage student study abroad evaluations and provide summary reports
- Build and maintain relationships with partner programs and education abroad providers
- Assist in the execution of exchange agreements and the coordination of site visits
- Assist in the maintenance of social media accounts for study abroad, study away, and international exchange
- Assist in the management of departmental web content and promotions
- Participate in administrative duties
- Assist with the advising of international exchange students, including course registration and completion of acceptance and transfer documents
- Serve as a university Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO)
- Assist with activities of the Bridge Program and related programs for international students at APSU
- Work with and potentially oversee student workers
- Perform job-related duties as assigned
