Position Summary | The Senior Associate Athletic Director – Championship Resources is responsible to oversee the day-to-day fundraising of the entire athletics department, as well as the annual giving arm of the department.
Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of over 9,000 students and is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a community of an estimated 166,000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville, TN. |
Primary Duties and Responsibilities | - Identify, Cultivate, Solicit, and Steward individuals and organizations to make philanthropic gifts for the APSU department of athletics
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising campaigns to generate major gifts for the athletics department.
- Develop and help cultivate the education and solicitation of Name, Image & Likeness in conjunction with NCAA By-laws.
- Oversee the Monocle Society (annual giving arm) of the entire athletics department.
- Oversee the dealer car partnerships within the university. Maintaining records and stewardships to make sure all things are executed well.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the organizations and companies in the community that can make philanthropic gifts to the department.
- Work hand in hand with the external team of the Athletics department in order to make sure promotions are in favor and beneficial to fundraising.
- Disseminate information and generate exposure and awareness.
- Assigned Sport Administrative oversight.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | - Efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Be detail-oriented and communicate effectively and appropriately.
- Fund-raise through speech, writing, and direct sales.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the University community and the public.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understand and follow University, NCAA and Conference guidelines.
- Work extended nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements | - Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of forces frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Required Minimum Qualifications | - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in fundraising and solicitation at the university level; preferably in intercollegiate athletics.
- Experience in a team-environment with a background and/or understanding of collegiate athletics.
- An acceptable background check will be required of the successful applicant.
- An official transcript and names, addresses and phone numbers of three (3) references will be required for the successful applicant.
