Position Summary | The Financial Aid Analyst is responsible for analyzing the awarding, verification, and reconciliation process to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for financial aid. This includes management of COD and EDconnect automated programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities | - Provide support in all aspects relating to federal and state reporting.
- Maintain a full understanding of verification and serve as the co-administrator to ensure all verifications are acceptable for Title IV awarding.
- Complete Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations in accordance with Federal Student Aid regulations for students who officially and unofficially withdraw.
- Award students in compliance with federal and state regulations, filing monthly the appropriate awarding criteria and awards in the Student Financial Aid Office with the Business Office.
- Reconcile and analyze financial aid data after each registration to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This includes Pell Grant, cost of attendance and award, refunds, repayments, hours of enrollment and non-awards for those students who did not enroll and cancel the necessary payment.
- Serve as liaison for compliance issues with federal and state agencies.
- Establish and maintain organized and accurate records for audit purposes with regard to expenditures from Student Financial Aid and adjustments made to the Pell, TEACH, and Iraq & Afghanistan Service Grant Programs.
- Support the Director, Associate Director, Assistant Director and Financial Aid Manager in audit and program reviews.
- Responsible for reviewing the electronic outside aid resource reports and resolving any conflicting information.
- Transmit corrections for electronically received data and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain an on-going understanding of the federal, state, and computer programs required to administer financial aid.
- Maintain on-going training and attend state, regional, and national training conferences.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications | - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of two years’ of experience in a financial aid setting.
- A background check will be required of the successful applicant.
