Position Summary Information
| Position Summary | This position falls under the supervision of the Grounds Department at APSU. This is a temporary position, less than 1 year. This position will work 37.5 hours weekly at 7.5 hours daily. The work hours will be a set schedule (6:00 AM-2:30 PM) most of the time but may vary depending on the needs of the university. |

| Primary Duties and Responsibilities | This position includes working outside, running a weed eater, edging sidewalks and landscape beds, blowing debris off of hardscapes, and removing trash from the grounds. Operate a utility vehicle or pickup truck to complete assignments. This position covers the entire university campus and may be paired with a full-time employee with a particular area of responsibility. |
| Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | -Use weed eater to trim where the mowers can’t get and to edge sidewalks, curbs and landscape beds. -Will use hand or back pack blower to remove grass clippings, leaves, trash or other debris from hardscapes. -Walk the grounds of the university to pick up trash with grabbing tools. -Other duties as assigned. |
| Physical Requirements | Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. |
| Required Minimum Qualifications | The person that is hired for this position must have a high school education or equivalent and a valid Driver’s License. A background check will be performed. |
