The Selling Partner Executive Selling Partner Relations teeam resolved complex Selling Partner (SP) issues that have Amazon Executive visibility and/or high Legal/Public Relations (PR) risk. We are tremendously obsessed with the SP experience, working to identify and resolve systemic SP challenges.

As a content editor you will collaborate with fellow writers and internal business partners (such as program managers, UI designers, and software development engineers) to develop strategy and content. You'll participate in content management efforts, process development, writing skill building, and quality governance in support of team success, while also working independently on multiple projects.

As an executive escations management team, this work is by nature dynamic, high visibility, and responsive. The ability to manage ambiguity, thrive in a responsive and changing environment, strong Ownership, and strategic thinking are requirements for this position. Functional knowledge of the SP experience is a plus. This position will have a strong focus (think 50% of time, at least to start) on implementing standards and building team writing skills to ensure documentation quality.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaboration with editors across the globe to create user support content, including help pages, news announcements, and UI content strings on the website.
- Using a combination of data analysis, contact analysis, end-user research, and content audits to make content decisions and orchestrate quality development.
- Ownership of complex projects delivery on tight deadlines.
- Multitasking in an environment with competing priorities and deliverables.
- Evangelizing content standards that reflect the voice of Amazon.
- Improving operational metrics and content development processes.
- Attention to detail and advocacy for the delivery of the right content at the right time, delivered in the right place.
- Focus on both the end-to-end and tactical components of the customer experience.
- Collaboration in an environment that is global and cross-functional.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist
- Experience managing content projects, including coordinating with other teams
- Experience with a markup language such as HTML or XML
- Strong bias for action and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, technical writing, or related field, or comparable job experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist, with a focus on software or workflow applications
- Experience working with product and UI designers and writing UI text
- Experience working as part of a global team with remote colleagues
- Experience creating content for translation and localization
- Experience with content management systems, DITA, and SEO
- Experience working in an agile content development environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $178,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
